Life Cycle 

 

The serie  “Life Cycle” is a reflection of the life span of objects. Consumerism and how objects are created and how they end. Their life cycle, their connections to previous relationships and their history is what I relate to. At a time when everything is digital, and nothing seem tangible anymore, my aim is to rescue these albums. 

 

 At this point in these disregarded album’s life cycle, near the end, my aim is to put content back as a way of resurrecting them, reviving them, helping them skip their fate.

 

After photographing them, I choose to print them with inferior ink making the image only temporary once again. It allows me te leave an impression from objects left on the prints while fading in the sun. The prints are left for several months, depending on the amount of sun, until they have the faded effect I recognize from old faded prints, where blue hues take the overhand. These prints are recaptured so that the proces stops.
